Woot! Housed!

Woo-hoo! Housing woes are officially ended (for now at least). Got a phone call from my soon-to-be-housemates telling me I've got the place I looked at last night! Gotta call the landlord and deal with all the administrata, but basically I'm in. 1st August I'm gonna be carting all of my crap into several trolley-loads from the local shopping place and lugging it 500m away to my new pad. Schweet. For the terminally bored, it's here. Goodbye Roland Holstlaan, hello Herman Gorterhof.

Normally the long extended "why the hell is that taking so long" bits of my life are the exciting things. OTOH, with this one we can also factor in a couple of instemmings a while back, and uncounted hours spent staring at a list of housespaces in a language I only vaguely comprehend.

I have no intention of complaining if life decides to be nice to me for once. I figure by now I'm owed a couple of instances where something I really want to happen happens, and without too much fucking around with delaying. Probably means I've used all up all my good luck for the next few years, but I'll cope because I'll have a decent space to live in.

Very groovy indeed. My biggest worry was that I wouldn't get something sorted before I come back to the UK on 7th Aug, and then when I come back I'd only have ~1 month to find housing, which probably would have resulted in somewhere shitty. Also, I can stay in this place indefinately, which may mean I get to not have to move for 3 years, which would rule muchly...
