Woo-hoo! Housing woes are officially ended (for now at least). Got a phone call from my soon-to-be-housemates telling me I've got the place I looked at last night! Gotta call the landlord and deal with all the administrata, but basically I'm in. 1st August I'm gonna be carting all of my crap into several trolley-loads from the local shopping place and lugging it 500m away to my new pad.
