Brief panic...

Arrgh... where as I'm not a big fan of the Grauniad's actual newspaper (too much waffling personal opinion, too little actual bloody news), I like having the cartoon feed. Except occasionally, like today, when they do things like this just as I'm less than 12 hours away from getting on a plane to go there.. I swear if I can get through this trip without either throttling anyone or getting splatted myself, then I'll be a happy bunny....

.... I'm not actually *quite* that cynical at this second, and the paranoia will probably fade within the first few hours. Once I've survived customs and being biometrically data gathered that is. The next post you'll probably see will be on another continent/country/time zone. In the event of my not posting, I want "The Chemicals Between Us" by Bush played at my funeral....

Yes, wait. Otherwise there may well be a news story tommorrow "British tourist was found today shouting 'you'll never take me alive you fuckers!' at US customs, as they mowed him down with automatic gunfire" and that would just *ruin* my trip entirely.
