Hey everyone. This is being sent to everyone who replied to my LJ post yonks ago about Edinburgh, and there's now a temporary email list (edinburgh@bits.bris.ac.uk) that sends to all of you (plus Rob, on a "why not?" basis). If there's anyone who wants to be removed, or anyone who should be added, tell me.
Due to my complete lack of anything regarding organisation, I proposed this about 2 months ago, and then didn't do anything about little things like actually sorting this all out. You've probably all classified this under "not gonna happen". My bad, but assuming that a reasonable proportion of you are still up for it, it's still workable. The basic details are the same as the original post (Easyjet prices are up a bit), so here's what's new. I've finally got in contact with the campsite, and they've still got spaces. I can call them as soon as I have yay/nay from all of you, and book this. I'll cough up for the deposit initially, and get the cash back off you later. I need to know a ) how many of you still want to come and b) how many tents we're bringing, because they seem to charge on a per-tent basis, rather than per-person. In other words, those of us willing to live with less personal space/have a bigger tent get in cheaper.
Assuming that's all fine, and we've still got *some* of you onboard for my mad planz, then I book, and then you're all gonna need to book the flights. I don't have the cash flow to pay for everyone's up front ('cause that would probably avoid misunderstandings, and failures to book), so this is going to require a bit of co-ordination. The relevant flights are the 08:10 Bristol->Edinburgh on 8/8 (Flight 435) - sorry that's a bit early, but kinda unavoidable - and the 21:45 Edinburgh->Bristol on 15/8 (Flight 434) - again the time sucks [Edit: These are Easyjet flights]
For those still following, the schedule is as follows
1) I get y/n on whether you're all still with the plan, and if there's any other interested parties. Plan dies at this point if numbers are too low, but we can discuss that.
2) I book the campsite.
3) We all book the flights.
So, am I insane and/or do you still want to go? If not, please tell me that as well, so I know when we've got through everyone.
