Dealt with Sci-fi's EGM last night. Boring as they always are, and as usual, almost total unanimous votes, with one person abstaining "for the hell of it"... so nothing new there. Met with Henk, he liked my PhD proposal, I'm guessing I'll be got back to on that one, but looks promising so far. Project is progressing well, just doing some overall refactoring of it, changing some of the structures around a bit, but keeping a lot of the core logic.
After bizarre conversations with Mike/Anthony/vegan friend of Mike's (you know you're in a weird conversation when the words "hyperspheres" and "fetishes" are mentioned in the same sentence.....), went out on Oz's bday celebration yesterday. Fun, drunken. Went to Vodka Nation at Evolution, fun, dancing, drunkenness. Some cunt at the bar calling me a wanker because I wasn't willing to let him get served first just because he'd got to the bar first (every time I've been nice at a bar and tried to help ppl get served in the right order, I get screwed over and have to wait another 20 mins for my drinks. No thanks....). Fuck him and the startup he rode in on....
Just found Wordspy. Randomly scrawling around in it is fun... might well replace my frequent fixes at the jargon file.
Must try and explain transfinite post-capitalist economic theories to someone else one of these days, see if they think I'm talking out of my arse....
