Palfrey's life

It's been a very non-productive weekend. I intended vaguely to do some work, I also intended to go a find a new electric shaver (or a power supply for my existing one), and to go and see Zatoichi. Instead, I've mostly watched lots of TNG and read webcomics. Spent about 2 hours this afternoon reading the entire archives of Dandy and Company. That's 2.5 years worth, from October 2001 to the present day, of a daily comic, in one sitting (ok, one of them was this one, which part of me thinks is hot, and another part says "sick, sick monkey"). From my extensive read list in these last few days we also have PhD pickup lines and kitten brownies. As I've mentioned at various other points, yes I'm addicted.

Oh, thoughts on TNG/DS9. The number of the major species in DS9 that get introduced in their original (before they get new faces/uniforms) form in TNG is ridiculous. Baj(o/a)rans (TNG pronounces, and presumably spells it differently), Trill, Cardassians, they're all there. And I'm only up to the beginning of series 5. I'd forgotten *all* of this. Justification for my major geek time in re-watching the entire series...
