Ok let's see, various points
1) I have various issues with things that various groups do in the name of Christianity (or quite frankly religion in general, but christianity is a) "low-hanging fruit" and b) the people I have the most contact with/hear the most about)
2) One of the particular groups I have a problem with is the CU. Various of it's members are nice people (heck you for starters! and there are others..), but I find various things that the group as a whole does to be morally dubious at best, downright bloody wrong at worst.
3) One major beef is with anything organised as a "free event", whatever the hook may be (a movie, food, whatever) without any mentioning that it's actually organised as a way to get lots of people in one place where the CU can attempt to persuade us that we've been deluded all these years, and why don't we come to their church services.... if they at least mention that it's organised by the Christian Union (remember to spell it out, not everyone knows what CU is) on the advert poster, then I'm somewhat less pissed off. CU should organise events for/of interest to christians, and do a Fresh stall. That's my opinion on the limits of what a society should be.
4) I have no problems with anyone choosing to believe in whichever religion, but I have major problems with anyone that tries to convert me/wants me to sit there and listen to their "new" argument for their religion (read: same arguments I've heard way too many times).

Live and let live is my general policy. If I want to know more about a religion I will *explicitly* ask someone who believes in it. If you've actually got something new to say, then at least ask me if I mind hearing about it first, rather than just telling me about it.

(Yeah, I know. You don't do these things. And hence why I don't go off on any sort of rant in person, and everyone gets to be happy and have fun, which is how I like life to be. But there are others who do so, and so I wished to explain my pissedoffness)
