Sweet zombie christ your right!!!!! well..... whoever wrote that 'article' is... i've been telling people for years that religion is something you can catch! Have always been suspicious of the happy clappy crew (aka. the CU) who offer free food in the vet school (eg. mince pies at xmas) and then do a talk or presentation....... you're welcome to take the food and ignor the talk but i never take either...... you just know that they've put some drug in the food to make you more impressionable so you get coerced into attending the talk and converting.... i wouldn't trust them and their tainted munchies as far as i could throw them. Either that or it contains rohipnol and once your out of it they force feed you the 'flesh' and turn you that way (since most of food comes out of packets from tesco have mostly discarded idea that 'flesh' is contained within)...... you have to pay attention to this religion stuff don't you.... you never know when you might get infected.

I don't think the CU have ever stooped to tainting food. Besides, as a student you should be aware that free food is always good. They tried a similar deal in my first year, showed "Matrix", and then tried to get us to stay for a presentation afterwards. Lots stayed "because it would be rude not to after they gave us the film" - sod that for several of the proverbials. If they offer free things, take it. You're never obliged to do whatever they're trying to get you to do. Lesson 1 of situational morality - take the bribes, but don't do the thing they're trying to bribe you to do. I'd call that a good choice!

Most morally dodgy thing I ever saw them do was coming around to our rooms in halls in the first few weeks and trying to talk to each of us - some freshers, first time away from home, could have easily been persuaded with the whole "come along, there are these nice happy people who will be very friendly" crap.

Maybe when they gave that "grill a christian" meeting I should have brought the Hoi Sin and the barbeque fork like I was thinking of - there was this girl there who was about to go on an "evangelism course". Now *that's* a worrying concept. They're teaching them how to do the brain-washing...

Christians for the most part aren't that bad people, but the CU really gets on my tits.

I think it's safe to agree with the most christians aren't bad people thing......... i have several as close friends and would be put to death for saying such a thing...... however the CU are a force of darkness...... and they WOULD stoop to poisening the food i'm sure of it. That film probably had subliminal messaging in it.... and I must admit that grill a christian this year did have me looking around for a convieniant place to set up my bonfire and stake.
