So what's everyone doing? I am uninterested in anything either being planned by people in relationships, or by anyone going on a date. I personally plan to go and try and get my hair cut (mostly just because I've been complaining about it for weeks) and watch lots of DS9 eps. Oz said to me that he plans to buy and play Sonic Heroes for his Xbox.

I would like to declare this as a day to kick back and have some fun, as opposed to couples getting stressed about whether their plans will work out or not. A day to celebrate the benefits of being single (/me also plans to explore the quirkyalone concept)

I scored a 95: very quirkyalone. Who would've thought it?

This Valentine's weekend I'm wearing pink curly ribbon in my hair, changing the oil in my car, going to a church I'm not a member of, hanging out with my family, making a trip to talk to somebody who wasn't very nice to me, catching up on livejournal and okcupid replies, playing Dance Dance Revolution, and a touch of FF: Crystal Chronicles.

Yesterday I gave valentine cards to all 22 of my preschoolers and in turn I received balloons, candy, and cards. Not so oddly, I was quite touched by four-year-olds loving the pictures I drew them and the sparkly ink I wrote with... and the fact that they and their parents had thought of me fondly as well... whereas I honestly can't remember any of the supposedly romantic things my boyfriends ever did for me on Valentine's Day, though I'm sure there were many such things.

For me the biggest benefit to being single (and not sour) is the realization that love can be found in a beautifully pure form through the actions of our friends and ourselves.

Only got 88 myself, but still pretty close to something I'd previously counted as a random ignoreable social concept. It's looking a bit more appealing now - kinda close to some stuff I worked out during the last year or so. Friends, good close friends, that's the thing I miss now. *sigh*

Sounds like a fun, full and joyous weekend. Congrats. Mine (and many of mine) seem to be a lot less so. Meh, my own fault really. Suppose I *could* get around to writing up all the stuff I did last weekend.... yup, that's what I'll do *tommorrow* (after sleep, which is needed)
