Palfrey's life

Some bits of my life I think of in bullets, so ergo here we go

• Bought new shoes. See here for what it looks like if you're really bored. That's a new one for me, photoing something deliberately for it to be on my blog. Weird to be getting into this whole weblogging thing


• Got added to Friendster by my brother. I'd forgotten about that site. If you want to add me, use the addy palfrey@bits.bris.ac.uk


• Was gonna go and get new glasses (fucked up one of the nose bits before, plus hadn't had new ones in a while), but went into an opticians and their little quick test said my eyes hadn't really changed, and then they fixed (well total replace on both sides) the nose piece for free, so all cool. Figured I couldn't be bothered with my usual "go to at least 3 different opticians before I find a pair I like", so decided to stick with old ones. Apparently (according to Kate) my MSN name earlier (said "gonna get new glasses") spawned a random conversation about whether I would get thick rimmed ones (geek stereotypes and so on). I wouldn't, but only because they'd block my vision too much, which pisses me off. Used to wear glasses with *really* big lenses for that reason. Glad to see I'm still thought of/talked about


• Read ECJ archive, finished re-reading Queen of Wands, got+watched some firefly and DS9 (getting S6+7 rips off of Dan now, yay!)


• Established that the bike shops around here don't do repairs on weekends, but that I can throw my bike at someone early Monday morning and it should be fixed by the evening


• Laughed heavily at this
  

Sorry if this is boring anyone, but my life isn't always vastly interesting. I want to log what I'm doing anyways, just to keep track.
