Palfrey's life

I *should* have gone to this Friday 13th/Valentine's day party, should have gone to AEGEE thing on Wed. As it is, my total social life for this week consists of an instemming on Monday. As part of my continuing insanity, I've been singing along to a lot of stuff (alone in this apartment with no-one to criticise). Things I've been singing along to include

• Goo Goo Dolls "Iris" - "when everything is made to be broken i just want you to know who i am"


• Jack Off Jill "My Cat" - "he may not be an actor, but he's a pussy superstar"


• Magnetic Fields "A Pretty Girl is Like..." - "I'm so love with you girl, it's like I'm on the moon. I can't really breathe but I feel lighter"


• Theme to "Pinky and the Brain" - "They're pinky and the brain, one is a genius the other is insane"


• Coral "Pass It On" - "don't repeat what I just said until boulders turn to lead"

Ok, some of them are love songs, but that's got sod all to do with the time of year. I *like* those songs, so I sing along... things you can do when there's no-one around to complain (there's no neighbour on the other side of the wall near the computer where I'm singing)

Right, time to go back to the tea drinking and DS9 watching... yay, exciting life.

So what's everyone doing? I am uninterested in anything either being planned by people in relationships, or by anyone going on a date. I personally plan to go and try and get my hair cut (mostly just because I've been complaining about it for weeks) and watch lots of DS9 eps. Oz said to me that he plans to buy and play Sonic Heroes for his Xbox.

I would like to declare this as a day to kick back and have some fun, as opposed to couples getting stressed about whether their plans will work out or not. A day to celebrate the benefits of being single (/me also plans to explore the quirkyalone concept)
