Stuff [Palfrey's life]

Things I've been doing recently:

Finally getting around to watching Donnie Darko (thank you Faculty Films, given as I had the DVD but wasn't ever going to get around to watching it). I think I've got it all figured out as well, without reading anyone else's random online explanations - time is meant to be immutable; the part of donnie's mind that's frank can see this future (illness, drugs, etc) and this makes Donnie the only one with free will; "Frank" uses said free will to help Donnie avoid bad situations (death by jet engine, not meeting the girl, getting in serious shit over berating kiddie porn guy) by doing drastic things; these changes are directly responsible for the end of the world by fucking with the timeline, which Frank doesn't have a solution for; Donnie is shit scared of being alone; Donnie eventually solves the problem by using his newly consciously manifested time-manipulation abilities to send the jet engine back in time to kill himself, which he views as a happy ending
