Palfrey's life

Personally I hope this becomes impossible and that we head into post-scarcity economics ASAP, but in the event I happen to get my mitts on a whole pile o' cash, there's a few things I'd like to do. The last of which is new today, hence the blogging.

• Open up a bar where smart shoes are banned. I may even have to carpet the whole darn thing and ban shoes entirely. Or use some other floor material that combines easy-to-clean with being nice on bare/sock-wearing feet


• Open the Bistro Onomatopoeia (reason: bad joke in Against A Dark Background). Failing that, build a Lazy Gun (same book) or a serious FYT suit (Use of Weapons)


• And the new addition: buy up as many little out-of-the-way 2nd hand bookstores as possible, and resist all attempts to turn them into Borders and/or Starbucks. Reasons: so much good times spent in them, but nowhere near enough in recent times. That, and watching the Voyager episode "11:59" which centres around a bookstore
