Ladies, gentlemen, everything else: I have an idea. It has been *far* too long since I have played any sort of RPG (being far from the dice of my comrades), and I have relatively recently discovered Paranoia, which is a game I would love to play. Then, I discovered Noteworthy "a blogger's roleplaying game", incidentally created by one of the writers of the new Paranoia XP.

The two concepts slosh around in my head for a little while, and the idea for "1-clone Paranoia" is born. The concept is simple: a Noteworthy game set in the Paranoia universe, played here on LJ in the newly minted community [livejournal.com profile] 1cloneparanoia. Friend Computer (or certainly one of it's more sadistic High Programmers) has come up with a new concept that needs testing: as anyone who remains a Troubleshooter for more than a clone or two tends to get a slight unstable (no matter how much Hot Fun they're fed), create a new Troubleshooter team consisting entirely of 6th clone's i.e. when they die, they're staying dead. Rationale for this: 1) Noteworthy works on a knockout basis, so letting everyone have the normal 6 clones would make it stretch out a bit 2) I've never GM'ed, and Noteworthy is a new game system on me. However, the non-immediate nature of blog communication should enable me to still work this out.

Any takers?

(For those who haven't got a blathering clue what the heck Paranoia is, I'd start with the Paranoia Live Beginners Guide to Life as a Troubleshooter, and then progress onto reading a few of the entries from a completed Paranoia Lexicon game - that's probably recommended for everyone, but only 'cause it makes me laugh so much)
