I've been re-watching parts of B5 Season 3 (ordered Season 4 today) and it's reminded me of a couple of things and titles that you should never, ever trust:
"just until this crisis is over"
"this is for the greater good"
Political Officer
Grand Vizier (not in B5 AFAIK, but still not to be trusted)

3x05 "Voices of Authority" had a good quote
"At least that tells us they understand our language, they're just not willing to speak to us in it" - Ivonova
"Who knew they were french" - Marcus
On the French theme, I don't give a crap about football, but hearing my Dad shout out (while I'm on the phone to my brother) as England has just managed to score a goal against the French still makes me happy :-) I actually care what the end score is... scary. Not enough to want to watch the damn thing, but still.

Random Link: The Two Things (liked the "The Two Things about Computer Maintenance" - "2. Never download Kazaa")

For those of you who don't know [livejournal.com profile] just_a_monkey, or haven't seen this already: scary resemblances between him and her

Went somewhat bonkers on Amazon earlier. Does mean I've got B5 Season 4 heading my way, and 4 different books (latest 2 Neal Stephenson's, William Gibson's latest and 5th Harry Potter), which is cool. Also managed to find presents for the parents (Fathers day *and* my mother's birthday next weekend) - they're somewhat random, but should be appreciated. Things to do when you realise you've just got a whole bunch of interest on some savings :-)

On Planet Debian earlier:

A worldwide survey was conducted by the United Nations. The only question asked was: "Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a huge failure...
In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant.
In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant.
In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant.
In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant.
In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant.
In South America they didn't know what "please" meant.
And in the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.
Music:: Garbage - Garbage - Vow
Mood:: 'pleased' pleased
