wheel_of_masks's posts on some of the factions.
Leaning towards a few character concepts based around the Eisenstimmen faction - ideas include a purist mechanical 6-limbed, well I think "robot" is about right. Nano-scale mechanical, *no* electrical components (no bio either, but who's counting...), each limb to be a bush robot-like thing, with a nominal head (read: primary sensing location, but not necessarily vital for thought processes. distributed mind, for redundancy's sake). Head would include a set of something that looks a lot like the glasses that opticians get you to wear to check your vision, with the flip up-and-down bits, except a lot more of them (6-8 on each side?). Purely for aesthetic reasons tho....
Think of it as the sort of thing that you'd get if you gave Babbage all the info from now until the setting of Puzzlebox, an unlimited budget, and some *really* good drugs - say PDKL-95 cut with mesacline....
