Palfrey's life

Today is Boxing day. Traditionally the first day of sales (for crazy people), and sitting around on our arses for everyone else. I've most definitely been doing the latter, even allowing for the slight problem that after a week sitting on my arse doing sod all has started to become somewhat boring. Therefore, today has mostly contained films - Real Genius, Revenge of the Nerds, and the 2nd Pirates of the Caribbean. Things noted from the first two: Michelle Meyrink manages to get through not one but *two* Hollywood films as geeky girl attracted to a primary character without having any stupid frelling makeovers in the name of "making her beautiful for ", and therefore deserves some sort of geek goddess award. She's definitely attractive in both, modulo the effect of the 80's look. (I was about *this* close to using "cute", but having been appraised of the problem with that, decided against it. I will say that if *I* say someone is cute, it's merely because I can't think of a better word at the time, and it does indeed imply that I would be very happy going on dates/being seen with/assorted things of a bedroom nature with person being so described).

Anyways. Bored, in need of a pub. Who's with me?
