SenSys has been a lot of fun. However, given that the vast majority of you probably don't know what 802.15.4 is, and any discussion of the use of multiple-overlay networks in resource-constricted scenarios is probably a bad idea, I'll limit my descriptions of it accordingly.
Particular points of note:
Conference ended midday today. Spent afternoon wandering San Diego with bunch of other assorted PhD students. Going to the zoo tommorrow, then flying out to Washington, D.C. for MASS.
Particular points of note:
- Keynote speech from Nokia person about using mobile phones as environmental sensors
- Not many more commercial people, but more commercial discussion. Talk of who could get hold of $20 million budgets out of VCs for this sort of thing (for our resource costs, that's a hell of a budget).
- The truism about "more gets done in the bars at these events" still applies when you're in a noisy Irish bar with a bad U2 cover band.
- Got multiple people interested in my work which is nice :-) Maybe one of these years I'll get cited...
