Parents have gone to see the distant grandmother. Would have gone as well, but given my last minute planning of when I was going to be back, plus the bunch of stuff they've needed to go to get up there and things, plus the fact I've still got a bunch of things to do right now, has meant I'm here on my own, on cat-feeding and tomato-watering duty. Well sort of. What I ended up doing with my day was going up the local shopping area type thing, buying two Eels CDs, then sitting in a Starbucks for several hours, drinking caffe latte (with for some reason a shot of caramel) out of a cup approximately the size of my head, and finishing one of the bits of MSc c/w that's due in this weekend. Follow with going to see Batman Beyond (which I would say is definately worth it, especially if you manage to sit a bit too close to the screen), and ending up going into a Silverscreen (some new DVD place) and buying Will and Grace Series 2. Ahem. I'd attempt to dignify this, by noting things like it was on sale at about 1/3rd of the original crazy asking price, but then I find myself in a queue for this, asking a random saleperson who's the artist playing over the PA that I'm enjoying, and find out it's some random called Jem, and I think that's the point at which my dignity went. Talking to the somewhat cute women in front of me helped. Other dignity loss points, include the list of things I'm enjoying about this second series of W&G (having just watched the first 8 episodes...)
For some reason, a whole bunch of my friends appear to be convinced my brother is gay. Given I'm fairly sure he's had more girlfriends than me (we have *never* discussed these matters, so my knowledge in this area is a little fuzzy), I'm fairly sure we're talking bi at most here. This is only turning up because todays actions (especially the Will and Grace related things) are leaving me with the usual doubt in this area, but I suspect my still vastly incel status isn't helping here.
- Knowing what Will's quoting when he says "what's your damage heather?"
- Hearing Jack use "Sarah Jessica Parker!" as an exclamation
- Watching Grace and Karen have this bitch fight over who won Jack's heart, when they're pretending to be Jack's ex-girlfriends (to his mother who somehow doesn't know he's gay)
