I've been fairly busy recently. I've:
  • Given up on getting my DVD writer working, and added another one instead (not that expensive these days, and it does make my case finally all-black on the front). Am not thinking of flashing this one's firmware....

  • Spent 3 hours invigilating a maths exam, which mostly consisted of my thinking of ideas of jewellery. Heavily inspired by [livejournal.com profile] makeitchemical's stuff with lightblubs, I'm considering some ideas with woven electrical wire and leds, all wired up to a small PIC (a low-cost microprocessor, which I did my BSc thesis on), to do fun things like blink morse code. This is partly an excuse to buy a soldering iron.

  • Talked to various ppl re: my latest research ideas, which has me now working towards submitting a paper for Sensys 2005. This would mean I'd get to go to America again this year, and this time to the west coast, all of which is good. So I've got a little under 2 months to finish the working version of this thing, in both simulation and real-life code, and write the paper. It's going to be tough....

  • Got addicted to Doukutsu Monogatari. It's simple, but ye gods it's addictive. And lethal to the fingers. RSI here we come.

  • For those who haven't read "My little golden book about ZOGG" I suggest you go there now.

  • Attempted to make pancakes on Tuesday. The mixture sort of worked, but it was a bit on the burnt side. Not too awful for a first try, experimental cooking is always fun.

  • For some reasons this made me think of [livejournal.com profile] raygungothic

There's something else I want to say, but can't remember what it is. Darn. Oh well, next time.
Edit: just remembered. Am going to Fosdem 2005. If anyone else is going to be there, tell me.
