a) for those who have ever met me, I am generally not described as sexy. With a few exceptions regarding women with unusual tastes.
b) "you can be smarter than you look". K, i'd love to see how i do that one. That's either a criticism of my looks, or an ego-the-size-of-a-planet thing, depending on how you look at it.
c) fluffy? moi? "attracts the opposite sex" - I don't do the dress up thing, so that's all out as well.

Yay, I'm finally back on LJ. Ok, I'm only really caught up by about a week at most, but after the first few hundred entries I tend to glaze over a bit. So, after my brief phase into whiny for the last entry, here's a few more happy(some of them)/random things.

• Got to meet Carolyn Forsman at a Xmas market thing at Grand Central station (how cool is that!), so I now have a replacement helix bracelet! As well as a rainbow-coloured spirally thingy


• Realised I've travelled somewhere over 18,000 miles in the past month and a bit. That's a hell of a lot. The "I'm spending my life on a plane" feeling has worn off by now


• Someone else I know (Laura) is getting married in 2005. That makes 3 weddings I'm going to now. Wow. Now there's a social schedule. And we have greymaiden having a sprog. Makes me worried heading towards 24 rapidly and all these people doing these big life things. Am thinking I want piece and quiet for a bit still.


• My office-mate has decided to quit. He's been feeling a bit depressed for a while, and has decided to go into the world of work. This wasn't entirely unexpected, but is still a bit jarring


• I'm about to publish some of my work as a Technical Report 'cause the journal process takes forever, and people want to reference me *now*. That is several kinds of cool

Planning on doing my usual Xmas with parents/new years at bris thing, but this relies on finding somewhere to crash. Would like to bother someone *other* than the House of X this time around, so any volunteers would be most welcomed. I don't take up much space!

I've currently been up for ~29 hours straight, in my desparate attempt to kick myself into being able to get to sleep before 4am. This does have the net effect that I'm feeling a mite fuzzy right now, despite the amount of caffeine floating around my bloodstream. To the extent of "no, can't do that work. Nowhere near that level of concentration" getting applied to a fair amount of my todo list, and my eyes defocusing every minute or so.
