Palfrey's life

...a.k.a Queen's Night/Day. It's today/last night, and it's an interesting little Dutch national holiday. Spent last night in Den Haag, where they have all sorts of things going on (vast live music stages, stalls trying to sell you stuff, drunk ppl, etc). Pretty much everyone else got up this morning to go to Amsterdam for the stuff on the main day, but after had the hell of the trains last night (jammed as hell, and this is a journey that normally takes about 10 minutes, as opposed to the 1 hour to Amsterdam) which is going to be *worse* in Amsterdam, as half the bloody country appears to be attempting to get there (that and a fair contingent of foreigners), and my stomach isn't feeling brilliant (not alcohol, it being like this stopped me drinking last night as well), so I've decided to sit that one out - despite bloody Petra claiming this is another reason why my Dutch isn't that good. Yeah, I know I'm crap at it. Acknowledged, now can we fricking move on....

Other things: I have a new icon via muffinmonster. Yay! B5 icon finally! I also found the geekspotting image via dice_fetish, saw the world's worst album covers, added another alias to my journal with http://journal.tevp.net/ now working as well, saw a cool idea for a costume (currently here, but will move off the front page to this link in a while) and got this very cool fantasy scenario from chalkcircle (still trying to decide whether it counts as soft porn)
