Life moves on. Did the presentation I had to do on Wed ("Overview of Localization for Wireless Sensor Networks"), which went pretty well - despite the laptop not talking to the beamer (ack, using Dutch term for projector - despite the fact that the Dutch word for projector is something similar, they use the term "beamer" when they're talking in English... very confusing). Thankfully, one USB stick later we're up and running on someone else's laptop. Given I'd only just finished writing the slides the previous evening, and I'd *never* actually tried to talk through the presentation, it went very well. Guess the practice of trying to explain my PhD stuff to everyone (give me a couple of glasses and some pens, and I can explain *anything*) has helped.

Saw Ines again on Wed evening, but due to my being completely knackered (long day + plus not enough sleep this week), couldn't stay for very long. She seemed pretty pleased to see me tho, and I was informed that I should get more sleep before next week so that we might actually speak for more than 5 minutes... it's probably nothing, but I'm still happy.

[livejournal.com profile] raygungothic's latest post referenced [livejournal.com profile] amicu, who has [livejournal.com profile] chalkcircle listed as a friend. Didn't know either of you two had an LJ (appears that wasn't the case until recently), but welcome! Guess we're moving towards world+dog scenarios.... not a bad thing, higher connectivity in these networks is good. On that thought, got added to Orkut by [livejournal.com profile] rikrose. Had been thinking about joining, so when he mentioned it 'twas good. If you want in, you know how to find me.
