I've just had something which I thought before might have been a date, but I'm now fairly sure wasn't - the annoying, middling "might be a date" cases are somewhat tricky. Barring official declaration of something being a date, there can be a certain level of confusion.

Ok, let's backup a second here and explain events of last 2 days. Got reply to the email I sent to Eva late on Monday, and after a couple more mails and a phone call done today, we kinda got our shit in gear and decided to meetup in Den Haag earlier tonight. I (as always) managed to get lost finding the library where we we're going to meet - you'd think the enormous white building with "bibliotheek" written across the front would be a hint, but no.... and then we went off to random bar/restaurant thingie. The original plan was to wander around and show me a bit more of Den Haag, but it's slightly less scenic at that time of night, and so that got dropped. We basically just spent 3 hours sitting and talking in this bar-ish thing (nice tables, high ceiling-ed stuff, etc). Just talking about random crap, all of the misc that gets discussed, along with my really bad explanations of what tabby markings look like.... it was fun, I enjoyed it. There's a good friendship in there, but I don't think this is going any further. I've been building up expectations of all this in my head over the last few days, so maybe I'm just over-expecting, and something will happen later, but right now I doubt it. Oh well.
