Had a fun day today.... was meant to go and tell the Aliens police (AFAIK that's their proper translated name here, not immigration police like everywhere else. aliens police is how everything i've ever seen refers to them) in Den Haag that I'm a nice person, here's my documents + passport sized photo, please don't throw me out of the country. That was the plan, however a combination of deciding that the best route was to bike to delft station, get train to den haag and then walk from Den Haag Centraal to the office was a bad idea.... Den Haag is a shit load bigger on the ground than on a map. Took me about 45 minutes to do the route, by which time i'm very late. Anywhere else being very late would simply throw me to the back of the queue but here it's "go away, we'll send you another letter". No begging would change this (even given the size of the queue I would have been thrown to the back of), so ergo I've just travelled into Den Haag and back for no bloody reason, which is a bit of a pisser. On the plus side, on the way back as I had all my assorted docs, finally updated my official addy with the town hall. Next time I'm biking the whole way - it's only about 10K or so - damnably faster than walking.
Finished writing docs for localization framework, it got a name from Koen - it's now called Positif (for reasons having something to do with the words postioning testing framework, but i was a bit caffeine deprived when the logic was explained to me). Imported the whole thing into Subversion as a test of that. Can't get the blasted thing working with SSH from home tho. Works fine in office, but really buggered from home (Windows problems), so can't offsite backup my website/personal projects that way yet.... would get out of Windows, but have you ever tried installing Linux onto a highpoint RAID array? My advice: don't! It's an evil piece of shit, and really must write my improved RAID module and build that damn file server.....
K, enough waffling. Washing up, food, buffy...
