Nero, for all its wonderful features, is a right bastard when it comes to erasing CD-RWs. So, when I want to erase the one CD-RW that I've ever got to work with my Xbox, I'm reminded why I don't do this unless *absolutely* necessary to the task at hand, as Nero has been saying "Remaining time: less than 1 min" for over 6 minutes now.... worse than the bloody Microsoft minute....
The task in question being the burning of the new Xbox-linux CD, which based on a few experiments involving stuff I can just upload to the HDD, looks very, very nice. They've fixed the overscan bugs, and that's worth it on its own, plus this new bootloader appears to be actually usable by those of us who want to boot from a menu, as opposed to those who want to boot from an unreliable CD-RW.... I've gotta boot off CD-RW *once* but never again.... after that, I'll fix the ext3 partition, and boot off of HDD.
Xbox-linux - great and wonderful idea. I will be able to port my media player system! Yay! I get to move my noisy server out of the living room! Yay!
